Motivate JA Joins Forces for International Coastal Cleanup Day

Updated: May 6

As part of its continued commitment to community engagement, Motivate JA proudly participated in the annual International Coastal Cleanup Day, contributing to one of the world’s largest volunteer-driven conservation efforts.

A team of seven dedicated Motivate JA volunteers joined hands with longstanding partner, Rose Hall Developments Limited in support of their special cleanup initiative. The collaboration reflected a shared vision of protecting Jamaica’s natural beauty and promoting sustainability through active civic involvement.

While the project was spearheaded by Rose Hall Developments Limited, Motivate JA’s presence underscored its belief that youth engagement is essential in driving change at all levels. Volunteers played a hands-on role in clearing waste and debris from designated coastal areas, helping to reduce pollution and preserve the health of the local marine ecosystem.

Though a relatively small team, the impact of Motivate JA’s participation was powerful, serving as a reminder that collective action, no matter the scale, can lead to meaningful environmental outcomes.

This effort marks another successful collaboration in Motivate JA’s growing network of impact-focused initiatives, and the organisation looks forward to continuing its work in fostering youth leadership across all sectors, including environmental stewardship.
